The LORD Is My Shepherd
- Psalm 23:1
In this Psalm of David, he tells us that the LORD is his shepherd. We see here that David is acknowledging the LORD as his shepherd and he shall not want, because the LORD supplies all his need. The Amplified version says, THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.
We learn here from David that as we have a personal relationship with the LORD and understand that He is our Shepherd, who feeds us, who guides us and who shields us and we have no want (Hebrew - to lack), because He supplies all our need. (Philippians 4:19)
Our responsibility is to acknowledge the LORD as our Shepherd, our supplier and trust in Him, seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33) and understand that He has already supplied all of our need. We need to thank Him for what He has already supplied and praise Him for it and be obedient to Him to do what He says to do and we will see what we are believing Him for come to pass.
The LORD is our provider, He is our guide and He is our protector. Let us keep our trust in Him.
